Ordinary world: Lives in a truck. He is poor and fights his robot in little fights for a couple hundred bucks. Usually loses and runs away from paying up the bet.
Call: Finds out he has a kid.
Refuse: Doesn't want to take care of the kid.
Meeting mentor: Meets his kid and brings him with him.
Crossing Thresh hold: Lets the kid come fight his robot and the kids wins.
Tests: Does a lot of fights, they keep getting harder and harder.
Approach innermost cave: Keeps on winning and they call out the best robot in the world.
Ordeal: Fight against the best robot in the world.
Reward: Gets the girl, the kid loves him and $$$
Road back: Pays all the people he owed back.
